21 What you need to know when uploading tournaments (with multiple groups) to chess-results.com?

Basically all tournaments can be uploaded very easy to chess-results.com using Swiss Manager menu item "Internet/ Automatic upload to chess-results.com ...".

Important: Each tournament requires its own database-Key. Normally, the database key is managed by Swiss-Manager and chess-results.com, and you have nothing to do.

If you have an event with more than one tournament, for example if you have three groups A, B, C, then you need 3 database-keys

If you are starting a new tournament with menu item "File / New Tournament ...") then the database-key is 0. When you upload the tournament on chess-results.com for the first time, a new database-key is assigned from chess-results.com and saved in the Swiss-Manager File.

I.e. if you create all three tournaments with menu item "File / New Tournament ...") then there are no problems expected. However, if you copy the Swiss-Manager-file from group A to group B after uploading group A to chess-results.com, you have to set the database-key manually to 0 for group b (because it is identical to group A).

The datenbase-key can be found in Swiss manager in the tournament dialog (menu-item "Input / tournament ..." in Sheet "others". See also "What to do when tournaments overwrite each other on chess-results.com?"
